Cross-Realm Zones Coming to Beta. This is huge in my opinion. We will finally be able to level cross-realm in certain areas in MoP which could mean that you would be utilizing the full potential of the 50 slots for toons! Well I wish for that..

We are hoping to give it a try for an old raid on sunday night, 22:30 server time. The choice of location is still under discussion. Feel free to contribute in choosing. I will post more when it is decided. Check your calendars often.

Hello all.

We talked with Octoberon about raiding. The only viable solution for raiding with this group of people is creating a raid team which will go serious when they want and hit the DS scene or any other Cata raid. For that matter, Octoberon/Dotmage is appointed leader of Raid Team One, with limitless power over his team. These are the rules:
1) Inside the team, only those who read on tactics, have watched appropriate videos and are on time for the raid will have access to possible loot from bosses. The rest will roll on what is left, after the first get their chance.
2) People who make an effort to contribute to the team's raid progression will gain priority in all raid matters (entrance, loot, etc) over all who only show up at the time of the raid by chance.
3) the remaining positions will be filled either with people from friendly guilds or with pugs, according to raid team leader's choice. In case of people from friendly guilds, the raid team leader will be the one making any arrangements about contacts, roles and loot access. Raid team leader is the one who controls the recruiting for his team. He has the right to recruit people from other guilds to his team, without them joining this guild.
4) these rules apply to everyone where Raid Team One matters are concerned. Even to the guild master.
5) you don't have to join this team. If you want to, you have to follow the rules. If you don't, you will not be a part of this team.

So to sum it up in a few words. In case serious raiding comes up as a subject or wish, you got two choices:
a) find your own group outside the guild or pug
b) talk to the Raid Team One leader and convince him you mean business.

The fun raids (lower level content)  and fun guild runs will continue as usual without this strict framework. The idea is to allow everyone to have fun without only a few carrying the weight of all the rest who are not contributing.

For any other guild activity you may be interested in, the same approach will be followed.
When kenyenke is back he will hold the role of PvP (Arena & BG) Team Leader, with the same rights. If anyone is interested in filling that role in his absence, it will be temporary.
If you got something else in mind that you want to develop in the guild, let me know and we will talk about it.

Hello folks!

Guild is lvl15 thanks to the usual suspects team lead usually by Octoberon and the other guys (elni, badbugger) doing guild runs.

I believe more can participate on this effort. Do try to do some (any level content) if you are on. Remember we need at least three members and it must be relevant in order to count as guild run.

Also, a surprise. I brought Mythryll on the guild roster to help with instances and raids. Myth is holy for primary spec and retri for secondary. I'm thinking of making him a tank secondary spec (got some gear to start with) so we 'll have more options when running instances. We 'll see.

More guild runs will follow this week, possible some older raids too. Do try to log in at night time (after 20:30 server time) and do your part if possible.

I have some thoughts about organizing such things in a more efficient and just manner. I will post about in a few days. The main principle is: Groups within a group. More info soon.

Remember that guild ranks are mostly an indication of trust and contribution in guild things. So I will redistribute them accordingly. Promotions and demotions will happen. If people contribute more in guild things, they will rise in hierarchy and have more rights in the bank, guild repais, organizing events, etc. If people are away for a long time they will be demoted and loose access to those rghts. It's only fair. We are all still friends, but it helps to have rules about that sort of things.

It's also a good way to protect everyone and the guild against account hacking and theft.

hey folks. news in a flash before i dash to work:

- guild bank theft by worlex who left the guild in a hurry. I have sent him a warning that expires tonight at 21:30 server time.

- with that in mind, i have inserted the use of authenticators for all ranks above young knight. If you find yourself stuck at that level or demoted, you need to get an authenticator. Remember there are free versions both for Iphone and Android phones. Trust me I know almost all of you so just whisper me if you think you lost your rank without reason. after all we did get to 120+ toons.. remember all of them can be tricky.. I do try.

- I created a ticket since only a few people can not yet be promoted back inspite the fact they do own an authenticator. I m waiting for blizzard's response.

Patch 4.3.4 is live, don't forget to remove 64 bit files if using the 64-bit client before patching and reinstalling the new ones after.

Personal news is also my warrior has finally hit lvl80! I 'm currently gearing for cata normals and I will be embarking for Mount-Hyjal tonight (after 22:30 server time).

First off gratz to everyone for GLvl 14! It's great to see the guild progressing and also growing (111 members when I checked earlier) so keep up the good work.

The main thing I'm posting is that beta keys are now trickling down from Blizzard and (fingers crossed) some of you will get keys so you can check out the expansion. As such I've put a thread on the forums for people to post anything they find out whilst exploring the beta or on the web!

Hello all!

Last night was a good night for the guild chat. One of the truely veteran Knights has found her way back to the guild roster.

Mayfair for those who knew her when she was a Knight back in the TBC days. Mayfair who had entered the Knights as a hunter named Echin, comes from the UK and has been a friend all this time. She was the fastest in leveling a toon and has numerous characters above lvl80 to prove it.

So last night there were all generations of knights in the chat,

Jaxxter, Mayfair and myself from the group of founding members back in TBC (although Mayfair joined the guild shortly after).

It reminded me of the old days, I wish we would see Strum, Rowen, Colombo, Gimgon, come back for a day and night so we could have a honorary raid together!

I think I will talk with Octoberon and Runeholta about organizing a fun raid together (lvl70 or lvl80 for example). I will post about it soon. Sunday night maybe.
